lee jones lived in london until 2002, where he was producing and remixing as the successful downtempo/ nu-jazz artist hefner. after following his heart to berlin, he was inspired by the music and clubs to move into a new production style over the past 6 years. most recently hes become known as the main creative force behind mymy, whose debut album Ôsongs for the gentle on playhouse made waves across the globe. since 2007 hes released his beautiful solo works on aus music and just, whilst also collaborating with berlin local hero daniel dreier on releases for upon you and releasing new mymy material on berlins illustrious ostgut ton imprint. having recently returned from the us and japan performing live dates with nick hšppner as mymy, he also has a busy djing schedule around europe and continues to promote the popular monthly clubnight at watergate Ômymy and friends

we proudly present the second release of meduka records, the *chitlin circuits* ep. produced by two friends based out of vienna, felix rupprecht & paul walter. paul was responsible for the first release *shining ep* on the upstart label. felix was born in frankfurt am main but moved to vienna, where they both met each other in 2013. a few all night jam sessions later, this record was born.

the young nordic label is back at it with a sturdy 12” vinyl release, produced by the helsinki underground electronic music champion poly sone. the three tracker kicks off with an intro track titled “come find me” which combines stripped down rhythm patterns with a subtle choir pad. on top of the foundation, an entrancing spoken word verse works as the main ingredient throughout the track. as the needle pushes onwards to the title track “echolocate”, the listener is confronted with a robust wall of lowend, soon accompanied by rolling percussions and clever use of reverb and delay. the simple composition highlights its sterling production and makes for a highly useful dancefloor tool. the last track “helix” bundles up the record nicely as the most melodic one of the bunch. the agile synth stabs and dystopic pads operate on a surprisingly groovy soil of bass and drums which add up to a dreamy whole.
